Portion of Sycamore Ave in Highland Closed Friday

In Highland, police are advising motorists that Sycamore Avenue, north of Grand Boulevard, will be closed tomorrow. Police report the closure is necessary so crews can make repairs to the roadway. The closure will be in effect from 8:30am-to-2:30pm.

In Munster, police have announced that for the next hour, southbound Calumet Avenue at 45th Street will be closed. Police report railroad maintenance is taking place in that area and should reopen after 2:30pm.
