Donley, like many other veterans, are thankful for the gift of music which can lift a veteran out of turmoil, depression and boredom and take them to another place. And that is the goal of Music Corps, a program at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., started by accomplished pianist Arthur Bloom. Within the walls of the center, Bloom trains wounded veterans to play instruments again as a form of therapy.
