At London 2012, Oscar Pistorius became the first double leg amputee to compete in the Olympics, and he won two golds and a silver in the 2012 Summer Paralympics. Pistorius shot and killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Feb. 14. He says he shot her by accident, mistaking her for an intruder. Authorities have accused him of premeditated murder.
