A six month long investigation where information was reportedly received about contraband allegedly being smuggled into the Michigan City State and Westville Correctional prisons, culminated in the arrest Friday of a Department of Correction employee. Published reports say Indiana State Police Organized Crime and Corruption Detective Joe White developed information that led him to investigate, 38-year-old Tracey Young of Michigan City, as a suspect. Young, a recreational director at the Indiana Department of Corrections Juvenile Facility in South Bend, was previously the recreational director at the Michigan City State Prison. Young is being held without bond in the Laporte County Jail.
