Gary Proposes Bus Plan

Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson says Gary's transit authority is partnering with Triple-A Express to keep the paratransit bus service provided through the Regional Bus Authority rolling for up to one year.... while the city and regional planners continue working to figure out a way to restore bus service in the region. NIRPC had already announced a deal had been worked out to continue the paratransit service thru July. The R-B-A's EasyGo Lake Transit service in Hammond, along with commuter buses to Chicago, ended last week due to a lack of funding.
