Some of Lake Co. Still w/out Power

As 9:30a.m. Saturday morning a little over 700 NIPSCO customers were still without power due to Thursday's severe storms. According to their website, the utility company expects to complete the necessary repair work to bring power by 8pm CDT Saturday night or sooner to the remaining customers in the Gary and Merrillville areas who were hit the hardest by Thursday night's storms.
