Indiana conservation officers say the body of a Portage teen who disappeared in the waters of Lake Michigan was apparently found this morning, about a quarter-mile from where he was last seen swimming with friends Sunday afternoon. Officials say there were four-foot waves at the time when 15-year-old Corey McFry apparently fell off or was swept off a sandbar. There was risk of rip currents over the weekend – a danger that continues through at least tonight. Conservation officer Gene Davis says a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary was walking the beach around 4:45 this morning when he discovered the body. Porter County Coroner Chuck Harris says a positive identification had not yet been made earlier, but family members of the missing Portage teenager were notified.
