Tonight's estimated Powerball jackpot is now up to 320-million-dollars for tonight's drawing. The jackpot was increased tuesday from 305 million as the result of brisk nationwide sales.
Did you know... Hoosier Lottery officials say a Hoosier Lottery player laid claim to the very first Powerball jackpot win in the first drawing in April 1992, and since then, Indiana has gone on to win the Powerball jackpot 37 more times -- more than any other state. Two of the top-six biggest wins in the game's history, $314.3 million and $295 million, were also scored in Indiana.

Meanwhile... a group of six friends from downstate Columbus calling themselves "Thursday Lunch Six" walked into Hoosier Lottery Headquarters tuesday and presented Lottery officials with a little slip of paper worth 14-million dollars. Their quick pick matched all six numbers in the August 4 drawing.
They took cash option and shared a one-time lump-sum payout of approximately $5.1 million, each getting about 850-thousand dollars before taxes
They've played Powerball together as a group for about a year, but only started putting their money on Hoosier Lotto two weeks ago. Their winning Hoosier Lotto ticket was in the second set of Hoosier Lotto tickets they ever purchased.
