Indiana State Police say a semi went nearly 200-feet down an embankment in Lake County just before 6:30 Tuesday night after the driver lost control due to a medical condition. The rig was westbound on the Borman in Hammond exiting to go north on Cline Avenue when the vehicle left the road, stopping eventually because of heavy woods and foliage. The semi was hauling nearly 45-thousand pounds of paper rolls, but remained upright and no load was lost. The 51-year-old driver was taken to St. Catherine Hospital for evaluation.
