The Indiana Department of Transportation says the State Road 49 bridge over the Kankakee River will be closed for about three hours Tuesday ( December 18th) between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., weather permitting, for inspection work. The bridge, which is between State Road 8 in Kouts and State Road 10 in Wheatfield is currently down to one lane with signals directing traffic.
