There's now hope that more dogs may have escaped a house fire in Lake County that killed as many as six other dogs, including champion showdogs and fosters from rescue groups. Fire crews from Lake Ridge, Griffith and Merrillville responded to the 16-hundred block of Elm Street in Calumet Township Monday night. Authorities say no humans were hurt . No word at this time on possible cause.  One puppy was given oxygen and rescued at the scene by firefighters, today's Times says another was found off 45^th Avenue by a woman who happens to work for a pet store in Schererville, where the pet hospital inside scanned the microchip.
