KELLY CLARKSON’S MOTHER DIDN’T ATTEND STAR’S WEDDING

When Kelly Clarkson said that she was eloping with her fiancé, Brandon Blackstock, and hardly anyone would be in attendance when they tied the knot, she wasn't kidding: her own mom wasn't even invited.  But, as most moms are, Kelly's is very understanding about her daughter's decision.  Speaking to Celebuzz, Kelly's mom, Jeanne Taylor, says she was quite aware of how crazy her daughter's schedule was for the next few months, so she totally got why the singer was feeling so overwhelmed and decided to not to go ahead with a big wedding.  "She was so afraid we might be upset," says Taylor.  "But we were fine with it...I had known that she was under a lot of stress.  And we just wanted her to be happy and not stressed out.  I think the biggest thing for us to do was to allow her to do what she wanted to do.”

THE MAN WHO WANTS TO LIVE LIFE AS A DOG

A man who wants to be a dog says he spends his days running around on all fours, eating food out of a bowl, and chasing cars.  Gary Matthews, 47, an unemployed IT technician in Pittsburgh, dons a shaggy dog costume each day to become his alter ego, Boomer.  He also sleeps inside a giant kennel which he keeps inside his more traditional human home, reports the Huffington Post.  Matthews says it was the Disney comedy The Shaggy DA that first gave him the idea of living as a dog.  At first, he named himself after Pongo, from 101 Dalmatians, but changed his canine name after becoming a fan of a TV show called Here's Boomer at the age of 12.  "I looked up to Here's Boomer and picked up some of his personality and behaviors," he said.  "When I bark, what you hear is the result of listening to my TV tapes and learning Boomer's voice from the soundtrack. Things like that have combined with my personality to make me a better dog."

To celebrate the upcoming release of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, the ice cream company has unveiled a new flavor to honor the newscaster's love for scotch whisky. The “Scotchy Scotch Scotch” flavor does not actually contain any alcohol, but rather butterscotch ice cream and butterscotch swirl ribbons. MAN SAYS SASQUATCH HAS MOVED NEXT DOOR AND IS THROWING ROCKS AT HIM

The owner of a remote home in California's rural Tehama County says a bigfoot has moved into the woodland behind his house.  The man, named only as Ken S to protect his identity, says the sasquatch arrived about two weeks ago and has been throwing rocks at him and responding to hunting-style calls.  When Ken called in a team of experts to investigate, they found a footprint and claimed to catch the mysterious 15-foot-tall creature on an infrared camera.  Ken said he first noticed something was amiss when two rocks were thrown over his head as he visited a sandy creek on his land. Then piles of wood started to be mysteriously moved around his 200-acre property, sometimes blocking his drive.  With the nearest neighbors more than a mile away and locked gates barring the way to trespassers, Ken said he is sure the strange goings on are not the work of a person.

PARENTS HAVE THEIR OWN TEENAGE DAUGHTERS ARRESTED FOR THROWING A PARTY WITHOUT PERMISSION

Parents had their own teenage girls arrested earlier this month after returning home unannounced from a weekend break to find a party underway at their house. The couple, from Glastonbury, Connecticut, called the cops when they found underage children drinking at their home.  Officers arrived at the home on October 13 to find around 20 to 30 youths with alcohol.  Police arrested a 15-year-old girl and 16-year-old girl who live at the home. Their identities have not been revealed because of their ages. The two females were charged with permitting a minor to possess alcohol. Glastonbury police continue to investigate and asked anyone with information to contact authorities. Police said that many children ran from the house when officers arrived and that the parents did the right thing by calling them to the scene.
