Multiple Injuries in Golf Cart Crash

The Ogden Dunes Police Department says one person was airlifted to a Chicago-area hospital with head injuries after a golf cart crash around 10:30 Wednesday night.  Police say a preliminary investigation indicated the cart had seven people on board, including four children ranging in age from 14-months to nine-years, when the driver tried to travel up a steep driveway and the golf cart stalled out and rolled backwards, coming to rest against a parked car. Others who were hurt were treated at a local hospital, and police say all the injured were visiting from out-of-state. Ogden Dunes Police and Fire, Portage Fire and Burns Harbor Police responded.
