Callers: Steel Coil Unrolls on Highway

Multiple callers to Radio One Communications this morning reported a steel coil from an overturned semi literally unrolled across all three lanes of the westbound Indiana Toll Road in Gary around 9:30 this morning, near the 12-and-a-half mile marker, between Cline Avenue and Grant Street.  Motorists we're told are driving over the steel, as the coil itself is resting up against the center concrete median. The semi was reportedly on a ramp at Grant Street.  Indiana State Police are on scene.

As of about 1020am, a caller told us there was one lane open (far left) as crews were on scene.
