A warning from Whiting city officials and the Whiting Police Department about people pretending to be water department workers, to get inside your home. A notice posted at the city's website says they work as a team while one tries to gain entrance to the house the other stays outside in the car. Residents are asked to call police if someone tries to gain entrance to your home stating that they are from the Water Department or if you see someone suspicious in your neighborhood.
