A multi-million dollar, multi-year investment is being made for a environmental project in Michigan City that will bring in construction jobs, boost economic development, and comply with current and future E-P-A guidelines for air quality. NIPSCO spokesman Nick Meyer says they are starting to lay out plans for the nearly 250-million dollar clean-coal project, at their Michigan City Electric Generating facility, with construction expected to begin in 2013, and that they hope to have it completed by 2018.
