Indiana added 7,200 private-sectors jobs in August, however, the state's unemployment rate edged up .1 percent to 8.3. Indiana's Department of Workforce Development says it's the third month in a row the state has gotten data from the U-S Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics showing discrepancies between the measures of job growth and employment, Commissioner Scott Sanders saying the numbers “don’t add up.” State officials also say the rate of job growth in Indiana for August tripled the national average.
