Indiana's First Meningitis Death

The Indiana Department of Public Heath says, at last check, there are 21 confirmed cases in Indiana. One death has been reported and while the deceased is not an Indiana resident, the person did receive the contaminated medication injection in Indiana. Over 15-hundred people in Indiana have been exposed through either an epidural or joint injection, and Indiana State health Commissioner Gregory Larkin says it is important to remember that fungal meningitis is not contagious.
