It's that time of year again, time to check your closets for unused or unwanted coats for needy families this winter. Michigan City's Mayor, Ron Meer, says the annual coat drive begins next week, Monday, October 22nd, and once again Concord Cleaners have offered , at no cost, to clean coats, or snowsuits, that you wish to donate. Mayor Meer says you can drop the items off at Concord Cleaners, and say, “they're for the coat campaign”, and they'll be delivered to the Michigan Township Trustees Office weekly. Mayor Meer says in the past the coats would have been delivered to the City Hall basement, but with the Park Department Administration housed there, security concerns were an issue, so that distribution location has been moved to the Michigan Township Trustees Office, who is in the business of dealing with assistance.
