153 guns were reportedly taken off the streets in Calumet City Chicago heights, and Midlothian after a gun buy-back Saturday. The Times reports guns were turned into authorities for 100 dollars each, with a 200 dollar limit per person, and that after four hours their pool of over 14-thousand dollars was exhausted. Published reports say semi-automatic weapons turned in will be tested by Illinois State Police. The Times says police also took in over 51 pounds of unwanted prescription medication during the gun buy-back.
