Two 20 year old Chicago men are in custody after leading multiple agencies on a foot-chase through portions of Highland last night, stemming from an armed robbery incident in Burnham, Illinois. Highland Police say the suspects were reportedly being pursued by the robbery victim, who fired shots at the victim, until their vehicle, which had been reported as stolen, crashed in Highland. Authorities, with the assistance of a K-9, tracked the two suspects to a backyard on the 89-hundredth block of Lawndale where they were taken into custody. Highland Police say a firearm was recovered, and felony charges on both suspects were being presented to the Lake County Prosecutor's Office, with a multitude of charges pending in Illinois.
