Here's a Message from the East Chicago Fire Department: For six weeks thru the end of next month (February 2013), the East Chicago Fire Department will conduct testing on fire suppression standpipe and sprinkler systems at businesses and industrial sites in and around the city. As part of the process the fire department will lay hoses and check for the location to the nearest hydrants. This may cause some inconvenience for residents and businesses, and the department is asking for everyone's patience while testing is underway.
