Temperatures Drop, Waters Rise in Indiana

Temperatures in the Region have taken a big tumble from Saturday, when we saw a high in the mid 50s in Valparaiso. Today's high temperature is forecast to be in the mid 20s. Looks like the Region could see a little warmup midweek, with highs in the mid 30s.

80 years in Prison for Choate

A 40 year old Hammond man was sentenced to 80 years in prison today in the death of his son in 2009. The Times reports Riley Choate had pleaded guilty last month to felony neglect of a dependent causing death, two felony counts of moving a body after death, and depriving his daughter of an education.
