ISP Master Trooper Eggers Retiring After 26 Years

An Indiana State Police Master Trooper has decide to retire after 26 years. Indiana State Police Lowell Post today announced Master Trooper Dave Eggers is retiring to take a position as Transportation Director with LaPorte Community Schools. Eggers, a Porter County native, graduated from the Indiana State Police Academy in November of 1988. Upon graduation, Eggers was assigned the Lowell Post where he worked Porter and LaPorte Counties, he then transferred to work in the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division (CVED) and was assigned to the Indiana Toll Road for eight years. Eggers was then assigned to the Federal Auditing side of CVED for two years before becoming a School Bus Coordinator and assigned back to the Lowell District for the last four years covering seven counties; Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Newton, Jasper, Pulaski and Starke.

Eggers was an Crash Reconstructionist, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Field Training Officer, Tactical Intervention Platoon, CVED Level 1 Certfied, and CVED HazMat Specialist.
