Indiana State Police say a Rensselaer woman and three children were hurt when an SUV rolled over in White County, just south of the Jasper County line, Saturday afternoon. A preliminary investigation by Master Trooper Aaron McCormick shows the right front tire blew out sending the vehicle into the right side of the roadway. The vehicle came back onto the roadway and rolled several times before coming to rest on the inside median cable barrier. Troopers say 33-year-old Mary Calero was airlifted from the scene by Statflight Helicopter Ambulance to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis with serious head injury. Three children riding in the SUV were treated at Jasper County Hospital with head and neck pain. All were wearing seatbelts or child restraints which Master Trooper McCormick says probably kept the injuries from being more serious than they were. The investigation is continuing.
