Lane Restrictions Start Monday

Lane restrictions begin next week for the U.S. 12/20 rehabilitation project in downtown Gary. INDOT says the right lane of 4th Avenue will be closed until further notice starting Monday, June 18th, between Virginia Street and Polk Street as crews remove sidewalk pavement and replace traffic signals. Work is expected to be complete on 4th Avenue by this December. Work on 5th Avenue will be complete in August 2013. US 12 and 20 are named 4th and 5th Avenues through that corridor.
