Gas prices aren't just down, but way down, all around the region and the country.  In some areas of the country, including parts of Northwest Indiana, gas prices are 50-cents lowers from what they were just a few weeks ago.  With lower gas prices, Cindy Schallte of St. John says that she can do "stuff with my kids and drive to places."  the biggest decline in prices has been seen in Ohio where new government figures show gasoline prices have dropped an incredible 24-cents in the past week.  According to AAA Fuel Gauge Report, the current average for regular unleaded in the Gary metro area is about $3.41, down about 25-cents from a week ago.  But prices have fallen even more since.
