Food Bank of Northwest Indiana hopes to distribute a million pounds of produce this year..and yesterday at Wicker Memorial Park in Highland people lined up to get some of those fruits and vegetables. Tom Lounges from Radio One Communications covered the event and took these photos. Food Bank Executive Director Angie Williams said there are more than 100-thousand people in Northwest Indiana who do not have access to fresh fruit and vegetables. Yesterday the food bank also announced DaVita Dialysis presented the organization with twenty-thousand dollars to use toward the produce program.
