Asian carp could be a reality in Lake Michigan and the other four Great Lakes within 20-years. A new scientific report by U.S. and Canadian researchers says that could happen if the carp find enough food and breeding areas. Researchers also say if the carp get past an electronic barrier near Romeoville and reach the lake, they could multiply in bays and river branches eventually moving north. They also said the fish would likely travel to the lakes via a network of canals and rivers in the Chicago and Northwest Indiana area.
