Munster Water Main Project

Munster Public Works is advising motorists of a road closure starting today (Tue Jul 17 2012) -- Manor Avenue is scheduled to be closed daily from 6:30 am to 4 pm between Timrick and Evergreen as crews repair and replace water mains. The work is expected to take several weeks. Drivers are urged to use Hohman or Harrison Avenue as alternates The town says this section of water main has seen numerous leaks and is under some pretty deep-rooted mature parkway trees... the replacement main is going under the sidewalk so the existing one can be kept in service until the new one is installed.
