A semi trailer remains flipped onto its side in the ditch off the northbound Burr St. exit ramp from eastbound Borman (80/94). As of 4:15p.m. INDOT traffic cams show the semi trailer continues to be off-loaded, which according to the Indiana State Police, the trailer contained 43,056 pounds of wet batteries that were not properly secured. Reports say a combination of speed and load shifting caused the trailer to flip onto its side. As a result, the driver was ticketed for peed too fast to avoid a collision and securement violation. INDOT says the exit ramp is open until crews attempt to upright the trailer.
