A portion of Horseprairie Avenue closed for the Sager Run Creek culvert replacement is now finished. Don McGinley, Director of Project and Facility Management for the City of Valparaiso, says work on the project, which closed the northbound lane of Horseprairie Avenue, just north of the Zao Island entrance and southbound Horseprairie Avenue, just south of BurgerKing, between State Road 2 and Route 30 is now open to motorists. McGinley credits the lack of rain to the project being finished about two-weeks ahead of the scheduled completion date of December 15th. Meanwhile McGinley says the traffic restriction on Campbell Street, from Lincolnway Avenue to Chestnut Street, for the removal and repainting of the double yellow centerline, which was scheduled to run until four this afternoon is also finished, and is now open to traffic.
