In Gary, police are investigating the shooting death of a 25-year-old man Saturday afternoon. The Lake County Coroners office says the victim was identified as Terrel Smith of Gary. Police tell today's Times the shooting occurred near the corner of Second Avenue and Rutledge Street shortly after 1-o'clock.
