A QUARTER OF CHICAGO'S WORKFORCE SHOWED UP LATE FOR WORK TUES

The Blackhawks last gasp victory in the Stanley Cup on Monday night left the city of Chicago waking up to one hell of a hangover the following morning.  Celebrations on the streets of Chicago well into the night gave way to a wave of sick calls, late starts and half days on Tuesday after the team scored two very late goals to beat the Boston Bruins at TD Garden 3-2 and clinch the National Hockey League's top tournament. One expert estimated that a quarter of the city's workforce turned up late and weren't that productive when they did finally show. “In Chicago, 25 percent of the workforce is coming in late,” CEO John Challenger of executive outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas, said. He predicted big losses for companies.

Paula Deen appeared on "Today" yesterday...ended the interview in tears. Paula said if there's anyone out there that has never said something that they wish they could take back, they should throw a stone at her head.  She also said she isn't a racist and only used the N-word to refer to a black man who once held a gun to her head during a robbery

COUPLE ASK CUSTOMERS AT STARBUCKS TO VOTE FOR THE NAME OF THEIR SON

A Connecticut couple are letting customers at a Starbucks coffee shop choose the name of their baby. Twenty-five-year-old Jennifer James and 24-year-old Mark Dixon of New Haven say they’ve been struggling between two names for the boy they are expecting in September. They decided to put it to a vote and placed signs at the Starbucks on the New Haven Green, where they are regulars, asking people to vote for either the name Jackson or Logan. They come into the coffee shop almost every day, and know the baristas and some other customers by name.

One of Kim’s so-called pals attempted to sell the bogus photo of a newborn to a publication. The baby, who is seen wrapped in a blanket, could easily pass for being the child of Kim and Kanye West, who was born June 15. But sources have confirmed that the photo Kim sent around was a fake.

On Friday, celebrity chef Paula Deen was sacked from her job at the Food Network despite begging the public for forgiveness over her past use of racial slurs in a heavily-edited video apology.
