Let's Walk!

Annie's Blog

This nice weather is tricking my body into thinking summer has arrived and we haven't officially got outta winter yet! How are you enjoying the warmer weather? I've started walking with the dogs after work with my best friend to sneak in some exercise! Only problem, today I feel so sore! (Tells you how outta shape I am!)

We've been mostly hitting the trail that runs around Wolf Lake, but I thought I could ask for your help. What are some of your favorite dog friendly trails? Do you have a favorite park to take your four-legged buddy? With the weather heading in the right direction, I'd like the chance to explore new paths!

Thanks in advance for the help and get out and enjoy the weather!

That Cost How Much?!?!

Annie's Blog

Yesterday was the first time I have begun to seriously look into wedding venues and I was met with a complete shock! Weddings are so gosh darn expensive!!! How does anyone afford them? I got so stressed looking at the estimates and it was only the first day! I cannot even imagine planning the whole thing!

I should explain it was never my intention to have a big wedding, I was content with taking our parent's and wedding party up to Michigan and getting married one weekend on the beach! However, my mother has other ideas! Did you run into the problem of trying to balance your wants with your family's? Could seriously use some advice to help rid stress!

We did however set a date. June 1, 2013! It's kinda exciting and nerve wracking at the same time to finally have a deadline! I'll keep ya posted on things as the move along and any advice or recommendations you'd like to share along the way would be appreciated!

PS How Bout This Weather?!?!

Evil Thoughts Be Gone!

Annie's Blog

Please tell me you remembered to set your clocks ahead one hour this weekend? I had one of those moments where I looked at the clock on Sunday and felt confused! (Nevermind that it was 1pm) First time I have slept that long in ages... I actually felt embarrassed about it! Hey, I'm not as young as I used to be and it takes me a day to recover after partying for a wedding! (check out the beautiful bride above)

Speaking of weddings, got some pretty good news this weekend: Rob's brother got engaged!!! I do have to admit to feeling a little evil after hearing the news! Do you ever catch yourself with horrible thoughts and have to remind yourself to not be a jerk!?! My first thought on hearing the news was of course happiness, but then it turned to jealousy! Couldn't help but want all the attention on myself and my wedding and now I was going to have to share the spotlight! Felt like I was 3 years old again, and they brought my younger sister home from the hospital! (That little brat stole all my thunder! Tongue out)

Anyway, I quickly got over myself! Sometimes you just have to remind yourself to check the attitude! Ha! Congratulations to the happy couple! Time for a double wedding?!?!

Enjoy your week!

More Sun!!!

We're getting one step closer to summer!!! Just dropping a friendly reminder to set your clocks ahead one hour on Sunday morning for Daylight Saving Time! (Just learned today there is no "S"!) Make sure you do it before you head to bed Saturday night to insure less confusion in the morning! However if you're like me, I always forget to change one clock and it totally throws me off!

Let's get ready for more daylight!!!
