GHOSTBUSTERS FIREHOUSE WOULD BE WORTH $16 MILLION

The Ghostbuster's iconic headquarters, a firehouse located in New York City's Tribeca neighborhood, has been valued at nearly $16 million.  According to the Movoto Real Estate blog’s fictional property evaluations, the movie's 9,642.55square-foot firehouse would be worth at least $15,717,356.50 in today's market.  Its fictional size and real life location at 14 North Moore Street, as well as how much comparable properties in the Tribeca area cost today, were all taken into account.

BUDWEISER IS MOST POPULAR BEER AMONG INJURED ER PATIENTS

Many people who end their Friday or Saturday nights in a hospital emergency room have been drinking alcohol.  Public health experts estimate that about one-third of all injury-related ER visits involved alcohol consumption.  But what, exactly, are people drinking?  When the Hopkins researchers surveyed ER patients who’d been drinking, they found that Budweiser was the number one brand consumed, followed Steel Reserve Malt Liquor, Colt 45 malt liquor, Bud Ice (another malt liquor), Bud Light, and a discount-priced vodka called Barton’s.

SEATTLE COPS TO HAND OUT DORITOS TO POT LOVERS AT HEMPFEST

Marijuana is now legal in Washington state, so Seattle cops won't be issuing tickets during the 2013 Hempfest.  Instead, the police will join in the fun and hand out Doritos.  This summer marks the 22nd annual Hempfest "protestival" in Seattle, but it's the first since Washington voters legalized marijuana in Nov. 2012.  While the police have typically been tolerant of pot smokers during the event in the past, this is the first year that even ceremonial tickets (a common practice in Seattle at counter-cultural events) can be ignored.

KIM K REFUSES TO GO BACK INTO THE SPOTLIGHT UNTIL SHE REACHES 115LBS

It was said that Kim Kardashian was unable to attend little sister Kendall Jenner's sweet sixteen over the weekend because she couldn't find a babysitter for her baby daughter North West.  But a new report in Us Weekly suggests that the reality star, whose famous figure has helped build her a multi-million dollar empire, is still too self-conscious to reveal her post-pregnancy figure.  Sources close to Kim and the father of her child, Kanye West, say the 32-year-old, who is already said to have lost 30 pounds, is still attempting to lose another 30 off her frame.

An Ohio gun safety teacher accidentally shot a student in the arm when he apparently didn't realize the gun he was handling was loaded.  On Saturday, Terry J. Dunlap Sr., 73, was teaching a group of 25 people a daylong course in gun safety to satisfy one of the state's requirements to obtain a concealed carry permit when the .38-caliber handgun he was using went off.  The bullet ricocheted off his desk and struck student Michael Piemonte in the right arm.

WAS CHRISTIAN BALE OFFERED $50M TO PLAY BATMAN AGAIN?

Was Christian Bale offered $50 million by Warner Bros. to once again don The Dark Knight's cape and cowl?  That's the claim in a new unauthorized biography.  “Beyond Batman: The Unauthorized True Story of Christian Bale and His Dark Knight Dilemma” by Vince Russel purports that Bale, who previously denied he'd play Batman again, is considering both the acting career -- and bank account -- of Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr., who was reportedly paid the same amount for The Avengers.

BEAR TAKES LEFTOVER CHINESE IN HOME

A black bear broke into an Idaho house and licked leftover Chinese food from a cast iron pan on the stove.  David Edwards of Ketchum said his dog’s barking awakened him around 3 a.m. yesterday.  When he went to investigate what had his Irish setter-Lab mix so upset, he saw the bear on its hind legs, paws on the stove, licking a pan.  Edwards’ wife, Sara, had fallen asleep on the couch and his first instinct was to get his wife away from the kitchen area.  However, he said, “I couldn’t tell her there was a bear in the house because she would have just lost her mind.  She gets very upset over spiders.”  So he woke her up and led her into the bedroom without telling her about the furry dish washer.  Edwards went back into the kitchen to find the bear was gone and the pan was clean.
