1 Down, 75 More To Go!

Annie's Blog

What a great weekend!!! How was yours? Had a chance to play some much needed volleyball on Friday night and boy was it perfect weather! Plus, I found out my fiance is alive and back from Vegas in one piece, just minus a phone! (That's why drinking and pools don't mix!)

On top of that, Saturday morning I went and finally got my wedding dress!!! It's such a relief to finally get it over with, so I can move on to the million other things I have left to do before June! (Wish I could post a pic, but don't want Rob to accidentally see!)

I'm not sure if it was the perfect dress, but it made my mom tear up so I had to go with it! I figured I was never gunna find an attachment to a dress, so why not go with the one my mom loved! That of course after 30 minutes of standing in the dress debating the price tag! ( I know it sounds bad, but I was just honestly tired of looking!) I'm not a dress person and am more concerned about having fun at the reception!! Oh well, I'm sure it will be fine! (Does that make me weird!?!)

If my weekend couldn't get any better, Sunday I got to spend the day with you! Thank you for coming out to the Texaco Country Showdown! It's always interesting to see how different stations do the showdown and to watch the amazing talent! Congrats to all our contestants, I don't know how you do it! (I myself have no musical talent!) Also, I had a chance to head over to the grandstand for the Hot Chelle Rae concert... my ears are still ringing from the screams! Parents, bless you for taking your kids! It was a fun show, but I did feel awfully old in the pit jumping up and down!!!

Anyway, hope your weekend was just as great! Let's make this week even better!!!

Reality Roundup (Getting Local!)

The Bachelorette
Did you get a chance to check out The Bachelorette last night? Looks like Jef had what it took to win Emily's heart... do you think it's true love? Check out their latest interview as an engaged couple above. I still think Emily really loved Arie, but knew Jef was a safer bet for her daughter! One things for sure, could those proposals get anymore cheesy?

Have you heard of this new dating show on CBS? I bring it up because it has a local connection, bachelor Dennis Trelinski Jr. of Munster was selected to be on the new series. Part of the show was actually filmed at his home in Munster! Look for 3 to debut on CBS Thursday! Check out more here.

Let us know what you think of Emily's Pick on our Facebook Page!

Did We Really Land On The Moon?

Annie's Blog

Do you believe in conspiracy theories? Today is the day we supposedly landing on the moon for the first time, but after reading some of these theories I'm not so sure! Read them and decide for yourself!

  • Apollo 14 astronaut Allen Shepard played golf on the Moon. In front of a worldwide TV audience, Mission Control teased him about slicing the ball to the right. Yet a slice is caused by uneven air flow over the ball. The Moon has no atmosphere and no air.
  • An average day’s temperature on the moon ranges from 260° F to 280° F, too hot for film to survive. At those temperatures, film crinkles up into a ball.
  • If you look at the pictures and videos of astronauts "on" the moon, you will never see more than 3 stars.
  • If you watch one of the scenes where they are walking in space, and you double the speed (2x) you see that they are clearing running like as they are running on the Earth

Thoughts? Any other theories you'd like to throw out there? Let us know on Facebook!
