Humane Society Calumet Area’s Animal Baby Shower Features Puppies and Kittens

The public is invited to attend the Humane Society Calumet Area (HSCA)’s annual Animal Baby Shower on June 18 from noon to 4 p.m.  Held in the style of a baby shower, the event is open to the public and all are welcome to meet the baby kittens and puppies of HSCA, 421 45th Ave., Munster, Ind. Visitors can enjoy treats, play games and tour the adoption center.

Additionally, adoption fees will be waived* for adult dogs and cats during the same weekend, June 17 through 19. The adoption special is open to the public and the adoption event takes place from noon to 7 p.m. Friday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

All adoptions require an approved application and standard adoption procedures apply. Some exclusions and additional fees may apply.

Guests to the baby shower and open house are asked to bring a gift from the wish list, which features much-needed items—including kitten and puppy formula, puppy nursing bottles, heating pads and more—to help care for HSCA’s newest additions. The full wish list is available at
