Bald Eagle Rescued from Waukegan Harbor

In Illinois, a kayaker is being credited with helping save a bald eagle over the weekend in Waukegan Harbor. The Chicago Bird Collision Monitors were called out Sunday to save the eagle, spotted on floating ice. One member of the group used a kayak to push the bird toward a dock, where the animal was scooped up safely in a net. The rescue was caught on video. The eagle was taken to Willowbrook Wildlife Center in Glen Ellyn. You can read updates here .
