Bring along your furry friend for a hike at most locations in the Indiana Dunes National Park. Learn the rules of being a Bark Ranger owner, answer a few questions while taking a hike and your best friend can earn their very own Bark Ranger tag. See a park ranger at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center or the Paul H. Douglas Center for Environmental Education to get your one-page worksheet and afterwards, a special Bark Ranger brass dog tag.
Avid dog hikers in the dunes can even become volunteer ambassadors. Learn more about this program at https://www.nps.gov/indu/planyourvisit/pets.htm or by searching bark ranger on the web.
