Chicago PAWS Helping Animals Left Homeless by Hurricane Ida

A Chicago animal shelter is helping animals left homeless by Hurricane Ida. PAWS Chicago will bring newly displaced and homeless animals from areas affected by the tropical storm to the city this week. Volunteers will leave Chicago tomorrow for Springfield, where they will pick up dozens of cats and dogs. The animals are from six shelters in Louisiana. Each animal rescued from Louisiana will be given medical care as needed. The organization is also collecting supplies to give to partner shelters affected by the hurricane.
