In New York, a horse is okay following a lengthy rescue from mud. The Croton Falls Fire Department says crews responded to a report of a horse buried up to his shoulders in mud this week. The horse was alone in the woods while the rider was looking for help. Several rescue teams responded. It took around three hours to free the horse with the help of proper equipment. The horse was then walked out with the help of veterinary staff. Here is a link to the Croton Falls Fire Department Facebook page for more details about the rescue.
