Paws in Paradise Charity Walk and Pet Fair

Second Chance 4 Pets Network will sponsor their 5th Annual Paws in Paradise Charity Walk and Pet Fair on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Lakeshore Cal Ripken Complex, 119th Street and Wolf Lake in Hammond, Indiana.

The pet fair will include a pet blessing (10:15 a.m.), vendors, music, animal rescues, K-9 and pet safety demonstrations, food, merchandise, and pet contests and games. Microchipping for a nominal fee will also be available at the pet fair. The charity walk will begin at 10:30 a.m. Pets are welcome to participate in the walk and pet fair, but they must be leashed and current on vaccinations. You do not have to have a pet to participate in the charity walk. If you cannot walk but collect pledges, a walker will be designated for you.

This year’s walk will again feature a challenge between Team Meow and Team Woof to see which team can raise the most money. Walkers can choose which team they want to be on. Team Meow won last year; the challenge is up to Team Woof to see if they can win this year.

All proceeds benefit Second Chance 4 Pets Network and will be used for their spay/neuter services, rescue/adoption program and building fund.
