Tulips fading? A horticulturist at the University of Illinois extension is offering some advice about how to care for spring bulbs after they bloom. The extension’s Ken Johnson says make sure to leave the leaves for awhile so the plants can photosynthesize and produce the food the bulbs need to form flower buds for next year. For some smaller bulbs, the leaves will die-back fairly quickly. Tulips and daffodils may take several weeks. Here is a link to the full article.
