Porter County Recycling and Waste Reduction is offering a Virtual Master Recycler Course that begins on Earth Day. Participants learn about waste prevention, household hazardous waste, home composting and more. The course via Zoom Thursday evenings at 6:30 starts on April 22nd for 6 weeks and is open to individuals who live or work in Porter County. Class size is limited to 30 participants and costs $30. Applicants that apply after the class is full will be placed on a waiting list and notified when the next course is scheduled. Once training is completed, students commit to 30 hours of volunteer time to inspire others in their community to reduce waste at home and at work.
