Indiana Dunes National Park is commemorating their new, national designation with a new exhibit at the Indiana Welcome Center in Hammond. According to a report from The Times, the show is called “61: An Exhibit Celebrating the 61st National Park” and features a dozen trail stops and interactive stations for kids, who can also complete challenges to become a Junior Ranger. The exhibit also highlights some of the outdoor activities available to visitors, including camping, hiking, kayaking and cross-country skiing. The exhibit is on display at the Indiana Welcome Center through September 21st. Indiana Dunes National Park first celebrated its national designation with a May 29th ribbon-cutting ceremony at Miller Woods.
