Extreme Cold Affects Some South Shore Line Service

Due to extreme cold temperatures and snow, Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation (NICTD) reported the South Shore Commuter Line would be busing all train passengers between South Bend and Carroll Ave Monday, January 1, into Tuesday, January 2, ending after Train 14’s route on the 2nd. Service is expected to resume normal operations on Tuesday with eastbound Train 7. Hudson Lake stops will be suspended during this time, and eastbound Trains 701 and 703 on Monday and Train 401 on Tuesday (between Carroll Ave. and South Bend) was being canceled.  Here is a link to the South Shore Line website – http://www.mysouthshoreline.com/
