The life and hymns of famed English Anglican cleric and theologian John Wesley will be the feature of the January 5th First Friday in the Chapel event at La Porte Hospital. The program begins at Noon and is free and open to the public. Former longtime La Porte Hospital CEO Leigh Morris, who later served as mayor of La Porte from 2004 to 2007, will present highlights of Wesley’s life, and has chosen five hymns for attendees to sing together. The program is titled Make a Joyful Noise Unto the Lord. A member of the Chancel Choir at the Presbyterian Church of La Porte, Morris often leads the Rotary Club of La Porte in song during their weekly meetings, and is a regular attendee of First Friday in the Chapel performances.
