Indiana Dunes National Park is hiring youth workers for the summer. The Youth Conservation Corp is a work-learn-earn program for fifteen to eighteen year-olds, and those hired will work at the national park June 6th through August 14th. Duties will include mostly outdoor work, as crews will stain, paint and caulk park building exteriors and also perform grounds maintenance, such as grass mowing, trash collecting and trail rehabilitation. Participants will be selected by random draw for the 40-hour-a-week positions. Indiana Dunes National Park says applicants should be prepared to work the entire length of the program. Applications are available online, through school guidance counselors, or at the national park office.
