NWI Partners for Clean Air Award Actions to Reduce Air Pollution

The Northwest Indiana Partners for Clean Air held their annual luncheon and awards ceremony at the Hammond Marina last month and gave away four awards for voluntary actions that helped reduce air pollution in Northwest Indiana. Metro Recycling received the Business Award, ArcelorMittal received the Industrial Award, the City of Hobart received the Municipal Award and Take Bike the Streets received the Bicycle Award.

The luncheon was attended by business, municipal, and community leaders from all over Northwest Indiana. They had an opportunity to network and learn how others in the area are doing their part to reduce air emissions in northwest Indiana.
